Ingredients (24 popscicles)

  • 1/2 litre water
  • 1/2 kg seasonal fruit  (apple, pear, strawberry, apricot etc.)
  • 1/2 cup raisins
  • 1,5  tablespoon agar powder
  • pinch of salt

  1. Wash fruit, cut into pieces, add rinsed raisins and pinch of salt, heat to boil.
  2. Length of boiling will vary depending of type of fruit. Pears will need 20 minutes, soft fruit will take only few minutes.
  3. Add agar powder, boil for few minutes, puree with hand blender.
  4. Pour into popscicle moulds, leave to cool.  Substance will become solid once it cools down.
  5. Refridgerate. Insert popscicle skewer just before serving.

  • You can use bowls or glasses in case of shortage of popscicle moulds. And serve them as snacks instead of popscicles.
  • The easy way to get the agar popscicle out from the mould is to pinch the top of the mould. Soft silicone moulds are preferable for this type of popscicles.
  • Leave to stand in room temperature before serving to children.

  • Almonds or nuts may be added before blending. Or you can add small quantity of whole raw berries to the substance just before pouring it into moulds.
  • Refrigerated will last 2-3 days.
