Ingredients (approx 12 popscicles)

  • 0,5 litre fresh blackberries
  • malt or syrup (rice, corn, wheat etc.) to taste

  1. Wash blackberries in cold water, if neccessary.
  2. Puree berries in blender.
  3. Taste and add malt or syrup as needed.
  4. Pour mixture into popscicle moulds, put in freezer until solid.

  • If you prefer to have your ice cream seedless, you can strain the mixture throuht before putting in into moulds.
  • We prefer the ice cream without sweeteners, however if your blackberries taste too sour, you might have to add malt or syrup.
  • Malt is the recommended option but it contains gluten. Use syrup for a gluten-free version.
  • If you’re using syrup, we recommend to use rice one. You can also use other kinds of syrup, e.g. fruit syrup – it is a dessert, an occational snack.
  • Ice cream may be sweetend by adding other type of fruit, fresh or dried.

  • Consuming freezing cold food is not recommended for anybody, let alone small children. Give your children the agar version of ice cream unless they strongly refuse to eat it. Even so, let the ice cream stand in room termperature for a few moments before giving it to children. And teach them to warm up each bite in their mouth before swallowing it.
